I used to love The Mechanical Universe. SCETV (South Carolina's PBS) aired it when I was in grade 7 or so, and I used to watch all the episodes. At the time, I didn't have all the mathematical and physical background to understand everything, but it really helped me conceptually, and I picked up lots of bits and pieces from it. For instance, TMU taught me how to take the derivative of a polynomial function.

ReplyDeleteeeee I remember SCETV! They're the ones who interrupted Sesame Street asking for money, but they also showed Square One.
ReplyDeleteHad definitely quit watching any form of TV by 7th grade, though.
